DMS Application Engineer
Our Applications Integration Department is in need of a DMS Application Engineer who understands the legal community, how law firms use Document Management systems, and who is capable of technical installations, configuration and consulting with law firm IT departments. Experience working for an integration company is a plus. We are currently a partner of Open Text and Interwoven and integrate these DMS product lines to law firms and corporate.
The individual in this position will be responsible for consulting, installation, configuration and ongoing support of Open Text (formerly Hummingbird), Interwoven (formerly iManage) and Microsoft Sharepoint. We are looking for an individual with excellent document management skills. This professional will be able to communicate and work closely with all levels in a law firm environment. This person will need to be technically inclined with natural troubleshooting abilities and willing to travel. Eligible candidates will be self-starting, team players who possess the following:
- Two years in an IT Department with a hands-on experience with DMS application support
- Must possess excellent server implementation skills in Open Text and/or Interwoven DMS products (certifications preferred)
- Must possess excellent skill set in Microsoft SQL 2000 and/or 2005
- Microsoft Certification is a plus
- Technically proficient
- Experience with desktop application installations
- Understanding of hardware specifications
- Experience applying application service packs
- Understanding of folder shares and security on networks
- Understanding of Microsoft Active Directory
- VMWare experience is a plus
- XML experience is a plus
- Natural troubleshooting abilities are required
- Ability to juggle multiple tasks and prioritize
- Passionate about customer service
- Must be comfortable in a fast moving and quick changing environment
- Excellent communication skills – written and verbal
- Professionalism – appearance, speech, and attitude
- Detail oriented – analysis and preparation of reports
- Travel is required (approximately 25% a year)
