DALLAS, TEXAS - August 26, 2002: Dallas-based Traveling Coaches announced its partnership with Payne Consulting Group to offer Metadata Assistant and Numbering Assistant software. Traveling Coaches is the first and currently the only Texas-based provider of Payne Consulting Group's products and related technology services. This alliance with Payne Consulting Group authorizes Traveling Coaches to provide consulting, sales, implementation and training services on Metadata Assistant and Numbering Assistant, critical tools for law firms and corporate legal departments.

Metadata Assistant is a tool to analyze and remove metadata from Word 97, 2000, and 2002 documents. Metadata is hidden information that lies within the content of an electronic document. This hidden information, which can include tracked changes, hidden text, and comments, constitutes privileged work product that is protected by the attorney/client relationship. Metadata Assistant was developed to neutralize the risk of dispersing privileged information.

The Numbering Assistant utility contains 28 preloaded numbering schemes. Custom schemes can be created upon request and individual users can construct their own set of modified numbering schemes based on existing schemes. Since the Numbering Assistant uses native Word features, documents containing custom or firm-defined schemes can be easily shared with clients and others who may not work with this utility in their environment.

As a member of the Microsoft Legal Advisory Council, Payne Consulting Group worked closely with Microsoft and 20 representative law firms worldwide to identify issues with Microsoft applications specific to the legal industry that were incorporated into Office XP. These close ties have also enabled Payne Consulting Group to develop products that simplify difficult processes within complex documents such as numbering and removing embedded metadata.
