Traveling Coaches Releases LEAP (Legal Education Action Plan)

Dallas, Texas - November 15, 2004: Traveling Coaches, Inc. has released a comprehensive technology skills assessment program called LEAP (Legal Education Action Plan). Renowned in the legal industry as a leading provider of technology training services and courseware, Traveling Coaches responded to the tremendous demand for a program to identify training needs. Specific to the unique training needs of the legal industry, LEAP is used to assess core competencies, appraise current skills, develop learning plans, and present findings to Firm management. LEAP can also be used to encourage adherence to best practices or to evaluate application–specific abilities of new hire and lateral move candidates.

As Gina Buser, President of Traveling Coaches, explains, “LEAP provides tangible information that law firms can use to target their training efforts where they are most needed and to analyze the effectiveness of those efforts. We are very excited to offer this innovative product to our legal clients.”

LEAP is the ideal foundation for a continuing education program such as Traveling Coaches’ CLASS (Continued Learning and Software Skills). CLASS is the legal-specific, modular, customizable and affordable training program that any firm can use to implement a continuing technology education program. The CLASS program includes almost one hundred individual training modules, each complete with training guides and outlines, quick reference cards, individual and group hands-on exercises, presentation materials and objective skills assessments. These highly focused, short training modules are the perfect solution for a firm wishing to implement a technology “university” program.

Law firms can now use LEAP to qualify and quantify their baseline skills, identify education requirements, and develop learning plans that utilize their university program. Beyond mere assessment and analysis, LEAP also includes marketing and presentation assistance to better sell the overall education strategy to firm management and user communities.
