Baker Donelson Bearman Caldwell and Berkowitz, PC Partners with Traveling Coaches for CLASSe
July 21, 2011, DALLAS, TX - Traveling Coaches, the nationally recognized training, application configuration and user adoption consulting partner to law firms, announced today that Memphis-based Baker Donelson Bearman Caldwell & Berkowitz has purchased Traveling Coaches’ CLASSe content for the Firm’s on-going technology learning program.
Baker Donelson Bearman Caldwell & Berkowitz owns Traveling Coaches’ original industry-leading CLASS (Continued Learning and Software Skills) program, which is designed for instructor-led training initiatives. CLASSe facilitates a different style of training: just-in-time eLearning. A collection of short, interactive, online lessons called CLASSe Briefs, this is a program that is ideal for busy attorneys and staff who need to learn how to accomplish specific tasks “on the fly.” By purchasing CLASSe, Baker Donelson Bearman Caldwell & Berkowitz is able to offer lawyers and staff a blended learning approach with various styles and options for learning.
“We have worked with Traveling Coaches since 2005 utilizing their CLASS materials. I was so excited when my CIO, John Green, approved the purchase of the CLASSe content package as well. In preparing for our Firm-wide upgrade to Win7 and Office 2010, the CLASSe Briefs have saved the Training and Development Team many hours of work. We no longer need to start from “scratch” to create eLearning modules to post in our LMS. The eLearning Briefs are short and direct, which is perfect for our End Users. They do not always have a lot of time to attend the standard classroom training sessions. The eLearning Briefs are great for quick how-tos,” said Lisa Williams-Smith, Training Manager at Baker Donelson Bearman Caldwell & Berkowitz. “The collaboration of the CLASS materials and the CLASSe Briefs are also a part of our latest initiative for individualized custom learning, since our staff recently completed their application assessments. The Firm has embraced this collaboration and we expect our End Users to be successful.”
Traveling Coaches’ CLASS program currently consists of 289 classroom modules and CLASSe includes over 1,700 eLearning lessons, both products covering topics from Microsoft Office applications to document management systems and Word productivity tools. The materials are customizable and designed to be used for university-style training programs. CLASSe Briefs are drawn from CLASS curriculum and offer the same high-level quality and consistency.
“The purchase of CLASSe will significantly increase and diversify Baker Donelson’s technology learning and support offerings to their users,” added Gina Buser, Chief Executive Officer of Traveling Coaches. “And, we are thrilled to include Baker Donelson among the firms that use our tools for their continuing learning and support initiatives.”
