Dow Lohnes PLLC Purchases Traveling Coaches’ CLASS and CLASSe

December 20, 2010, DALLAS, TX - Traveling Coaches, the nationally recognized training, application integration and consulting partner to law firms and corporate legal departments, announced today that Washington DC-based Dow Lohnes, has purchased Traveling Coaches’ CLASS and CLASSe content for the Firm’s on-going technology training program.

Traveling Coaches’ industry-leading CLASS (Continued Learning and Software Skills) program is a collection of modular, legal-specific and customizable technology training materials.  Since its introduction six years ago, the popular CLASS program has been implemented by over 200 law firms and corporate legal departments consisting of more than 90,000 users.  As CLASS provides the materials for traditional classroom instruction, CLASSe facilitates a different style of training: just-in-time eLearning.  A collection of short, interactive, online lessons called CLASSe Briefs, this program is ideal for busy attorneys and staff who need to learn how to accomplish specific tasks “on the fly.”

“Traveling Coaches was highly recommended by colleagues at other law firms.  What was alluring to us with CLASS and CLASSe, are how topics are presented in short modules which allow for targeted training and flexible scheduling.  We looked for a curriculum to match our firm-wide Core Competency Program, and with CLASS and CLASSe, they provided the curriculum we needed to deliver an objective-based training program targeted uniquely to each individual.  Benjamin Franklin said, “time is money”; since Traveling Coaches is a recognized leader in legal training, a comprehensive training curriculum program with CLASS, and over 263 modules for topics in Microsoft Office 2003/2007, will save countless hours in development and testing time.  Thus allowing our firm to maximize the production of our daily training requirements and minimize our curriculum development needs,” says Dana L. Thompson Training & Desktop Support Manager for Dow Lohnes.

CLASS currently consists of 263 classroom modules and CLASSe includes over 1,460 eLearning lessons, both products covering topics from Microsoft Office applications to document management systems and Word productivity tools.  The materials are customizable and designed to be used for university-style training programs.  CLASSe Briefs are drawn from CLASS curriculum and offer the same high level of quality and consistency.  By purchasing both products, Dow Lohnes will provide end-users with a consistent training message through the instructor, reference materials and eLearning lessons.

“We believe in offering end-users a variety of learning options to accommodate  various roles and learning styles,” added Charlene LeMaire, Chief Learning Officer for Traveling Coaches.  “CLASS modules provide hands-on classroom exercises and quick reference cards while CLASSe briefs provide the interactivity and self-paced learning  attorneys and staff  will use again and again.”
