Technical Consultant & Project Manager

  • Ability to facilitate discussions with organization leadership and decision makers

  • Understanding of change management principles ' concepts PM Principal Responsibilities

  • Manage all aspects of the project life cycle from initiation to closure.

  • Facilitate strategic discussions and deliver targeted business objectives of projects.

  • Work with business users and subject matter experts to gather requirements through interviews, focus groups, and other information-gathering methods.

  • Develop detailed business user requirements, system documentation and workflow procedures.

  • Possess strong understanding in the areas of Microsoft Office and document management systems as they relate to the legal industry.

  • Create and execute project work plans and revise as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements.

  • Identify and secure appropriate project resources.

  • Work with all project stakeholders, process owners, application and data architects, testers, developers, etc., in support of the project deliverables.

  • Define, develop and implement quality assurance practices and procedures, end user test plans, and other QA assessments.

  • Facilitate regular project status meetings, document meeting minutes and follow-up on all action items as required.

  • Facilitate and obtain timely review and sign off on all deliverables.

  • Facilitate project transitions and lessons learned discussions.

  • Maintain awareness of new and emerging technologies and their potential application to client engagements.

  • Continually seek opportunities to increase customer satisfaction

  • Plan and implement large IT projects

  • Direct and lead the work of technical staff

  • Evaluate new IT strategies and procedures

  • Ensure deadlines and cost targets are met

  • Maintain required project documentation

  • Serve as a liaison between business and technical aspects of projects


  • Analytical skills – technology consultants analyze an organization’s current technologies and needs to make recommendations and provide guidance, so they should have strong assessment and analysis skills

  • Business strategy – to successfully guide IT decision-making, technology analysts also need a strong sense of business strategy and a high level of familiarity with their client’s goals and objectives

  • Market expertise – technology consultants should also understand their clients’ industries and be able to identify ways that technology can impact market share and create a competitive edge

  • Problem-solving skills – technology consultants should be exceptional problem-solvers, able to assess a client’s current shortfalls and devise creative and technical solutions to address these issues

  • Team coordination – in this role, technology consultants work closely with CIOs, CTOs, and IT departments to implement new technologies, so effective team collaboration is vital

  • Communication skills – technology consultants should also be strong written and verbal communicators since they interact with personnel throughout their clients’ organizations and frequently work with technology vendors


  • Bachelors degree preferred

  • Experience working with Law Firms a plus

  • Technical understanding of configuration consideration for:

    • Office 2016

    • Office 2019

    • Office 365 Pro Plus

  • Ability to facilitate discussion with organization leadership and decision makers

  • Understanding of change management principles and concepts Previous experience in information technology or other related fields
